Arnaud Ferrari (Enzo)
DATE OF BIRTH: December 22, 1973.
WHERE I LIVE: Uppsala, Sweden.
MAIN OCCUPATIONS:
• Globe-trotter and photographer,
• Professor in high-energy physics,
• Leia's father.
I was born and spent my whole childhood in Belfort, a middle-size city in north-eastern France. After high-school, I studied science and eventually got awarded a PhD degree in high-energy physics from the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble) in 1999. After having worked at CERN in Geneva (Switzerland) for two years, I received an EU grant for a post-doctoral position at Uppsala University (Sweden) in 2001... and I still live and work there today, now as a professor. My research field is accelerator-based high-energy physics and I’m a member of the ATLAS collaboration, hence one of the few thousand nerds who contributed to the discovery of the award-winning Higgs boson at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider in 2012!
I can often be found behind a camera, somewhere on our little planet. This website shows a selection of my travel pictures. Enjoy!
